Welcome to March Morning Musings

Welcome to March everybody!

I hope that February ended well for all of you.

This just in, I’m an idiot for not watching Wall-e sooner. It was fantastic! And now I kinda wanna name a baby girl Eve, or have someone else name their baby girl Eve, or meet a baby girl named Eve. Anything along those lines would work really.

Last night I managed to watch some of Saturday Night Live before passing out (don’t judge) and was very very happy for the first time in a long time that I got to see a re-run. Originally airing January 10 of this year Neil Patrick Harris hosted with musical guest Taylor Swift! Personal favourite moments from the show: NPH as Mark from RENT, Taylor Swift’s reaction to the cheers and applause after singing Love Story.

In a related note, Taylor Swift is at #1 on The Billboard 200. It’s the 15th week that Fearless has been on the chart. Yay!

Umm, I just hit CNN.com to see what was in the news and found a video story that I will be linking because I feel it’s my responsibility. There are pole-dancing robots. The Kinetica Art Fair in London is showcasing the robots made from scraps as part of their gala. Just what the world needs, another set of robots taking over valuable human jobs.

In more political tech news, Toronto Mayor David Miller has hit “update” over 1000 times on his Twitter account. It’s a big hit with Toronto’s Twitter community and he’s been praised for his forward thinking. I think I’ll have to add him.

I’ve been asked to make a list of the movies that I am excited for and want to see in the coming months so that they can be scheduled or debated or vetoed. So, here’s a quick list: Watchmen, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Up, Angels & Demons, The Hannah Montana Movie, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. That’s just a quick list without a whole lot of digging.

In rapid fire sports news: Les Canadiens and the Leafs won. The Blue Jays lost. The Raptors play tonight. ESPN.com has an article on TFC (which I never expected to see, especially linked from the home page) and the World Baseball Classic kicks off in 6 days with Round One games being played in Toronto at Rogers Centre.

That’s all for today folks. After work I’ll be practicing my Scrabble skills, mobile will be ignored. Be warned.
