Good morning e-friends.
I hate to start the day off with bad news, but I’m afraid that’s what I have to do. Starbucks has announced that it is closing its first store in Canada. Coffee drinkers in Richmond B.C. will no longer be able to grab a Grande Carmel Macchiato at the Aberdeen Centre. I’m sorry to have to break the news, but somebody had to.
Why is it that in TV as well as real life the most potent drama is family based? Last night in Prime Time both Heroes and Chuck ended their shows with cliff hangers because of family members. Chuck looks like he’s found his dad. And apparently there was a sister in the Petrelli family and we had no idea.
PrimeTime was good last night. I added How I Met Your Mother to my watch list and enjoyed the programming provided to me by the networks. The Murtaugh list was the focal point of the episode and it made me smile. It was good. Essentially the list was Ted’s way of keeping track of things that he felt he was too old to do. It made me wonder if I should have a list like that. I think that may be a little further on down the road for me.
Big shout outs today to both E-ve and her mother for being amazingly strong people. It amazes me evry day.
The new animated feature, Monsters vs. Aliens took the top spot at last weekends box office with $59.3 million gross receipts. It blew away the competition with 2nd place going to The Haunting in Connecticut which brought in $23 million. I will admit that I didn’t even think it would make that much.
Celebrities are starting find Wally Z all over the internet. President Obama has added us on Twitter, Zach Braff has added us on myspace and we’re hoping that the list will continue to grow.
In upsetting news a Toronto FC fan was hit with a stun gun by the cops in Columbus last weekend after TFC and the Crew played to a 1-1 draw. There’s video of it with a warning that it contains strong language. I’m going to link the video in today’s section. View it at your own discretion.
It’s the last day of the month my friends so remember these things that need to be taken care of.
-Pay the rent.
-Buy your transit passes.
-Cash your paycheques.
-Call your mom and tell her that you love her.
That’s it for today. Enjoy the sunshine, but get your umbrella ready.
