Good Saturday morning mes amis. I hope that everyone is ready to relax, kick back and enjoy their weekend. As for me, I’m at work, day dreaming of buzzer beaters and a Montreal win over Toronto on Hockey Night in Canada.
I’m upset with my bracket so this is all I’m going to say: I was 24-4 going into the final four games of the first round. And then I went 1-3 in the late set last night. I’m not happy.
Spring is now here. We are in the first full day since it rang in at 7-something a.m. yesterday. The temperature was a chilly -2 degrees when I left the apt this morning, but it’s Spring so I’ll deal with it, and so will you.
I’ve had Toto’s Africa stuck in my head for the last 2 days. I’m not sure why. I just have. There was a scene in Chuck a few weeks ago where Jeffster played the song as an audition for Ellie and Awesome’s wedding. The link is in today’s section. Not great singing, not at all, but I love the show and the song.
Final performance of Evil Dead: The Musical in Ottawa tonight on Campus at Carlton University. If you haven’t seen it yet, get there early. Last night’s show sold out quick with a waiting list 2 pages long within 7 minutes of box office opening. Tickets go on sale at 6:30, get there before that, bring friends and get ready for a good time. Bravo to the cast, crew and audiences.
Umm, kids are smoking Smarties now? In the States kids are having a harder time getting cigarettes so they are using candy instead. Macleans magazine has the story in their Health section online. These Smarties aren’t hard chocolate candies, it’s candy dust in a tube. The kids are inhaling the dust and blowing it out. There are kids blowing rings and exhaling through their nose. Now, I huffed some pixie sticks when I was a kid, but this is more than I ever thought of. I found a bunch of Youtube videos. It’s weird, crazy and makes me sad.
I played some Guitar Hero: World Tour this week with the guitar only. It wasn’t bad, the song choices are fun, my only fault found was that the vocals were low because I wasn’t playing with a microphone or singer. Also, Ted Nugent plays way too big a part in the game. Boo Ted Nugent.
I also got on the Wii Fit board for the very first time. E-ve kicks my behind in the games, and has better balance than I do. But here’s hoping that I can get better. I’m a big fan of the Skiing games, I like leaning forward to go faster. Anytime I can go faster it’s a good thing.
Point form time.
- Myspace is more fun than I remembered.
- Cabbie makes me smile all the time.
- I need a new TV.
- Time moves so slowly some times.
- I’m trying not to Youtube music videos and sing along.
- 0 degrees Celsius right now.
- Thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the 4 Cdn soliders killed in Afghanistan.
- The Junos are coming. March 29 on CTV w/ Russell Peters hosting.
That’s all for now. Bon Weekend!
