Sunday Morning Musings, Thank You Fathers Edition

Hey there people.

It’s Sunday, Father’s Day, and it’s bright and sunny outside.

I’ve already called both father official father figures to wish them a happy day. It felt nice to talk to both.

Stopped and got a book as a present for one of them yesterday after work. I made a joke about getting Twilight for him instead. One girl at the counter got the joke, the other one didn’t. Oh well, that’s the way it goes.

Big thanks to E-ve for inadvertently giving me the gift idea.

I do apologize for not writing earlier today. I was going to, I really was. But, then I realized that I had Chuck season 1 on the computer here at the store and had to watch the pilot episode. It sucked me in all over again, I loved it, and now can’t wait to watch the rest of the season, and then probably season 2 as I wait for season 3 to come to prime time in the fall.

I’m disappointed in both myself and the Blue Jays as they lost another extra innings game against the Nationals last night. That makes two in a row and brings the Nationals season record in extra innings games to 2 wins and 8 loses. The good guys had better win today. At last check they were ahead 4-0 in the first inning.

There’s a new burger place down the street from the store. They opened their doors in the last few days and look like they are bringing customers in pretty well. I’ve been twice. Mostly for research of course. The place is called South St. Burger, owned by New York Fries. It’s good, tastes more like homemade than a place like McD’s, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price.

I am now on day 3 of my 6 days in a row before 3 days off. So far I feel alright. There was a lot of sleeping yesterday after work and I expect that there may be more again tonight.

The plan is to eat some more Breton whole wheat crackers and herb and garlic cream cheese and then just melt into the bed.

Happy Father’s Day to every dad out there. Thank you for everything that you have done to help raise my generation and point us in the right direction moving forward.

I think we’re gonna call it a day here folks and watch some more Chuck before home time.

Like wham!
