Good afternoon everyone.
I hope that you are enjoying your Sunday as much as E-ve is all relaxed and curled up.
I pulled up the old YouTube this morning and played Use Somebody by Kings of Leon because it was in my head. But, the good stuff came after that. On a whim I searched for Drake, you know the next big thing in hip hop. And I watched a free style piece that he did in New York. He’s alright I guess, I’m not an expert in the field of hip hop or freestyle rap so I’m not judging at all. But the whole time I was watching him all I could think about was him as the kid in the wheel chair on Degrassi.
Yesterday, very near the end of the work day a co-worker and I started talking about super hero movies as we are apt to do from time to time. And during the conversation we started looking online at rumors and timelines for upcoming movies in both the Marvel and DC universes. We got into the Justice League and Batman discussions and ended up on the subject of Catwoman. Catwoman is a pretty iconic character, and she has been portrayed as a good guy and a bad guy. I hope that they have a story in the next 2 movies that can bring her back to the big screen. And I hope that people won’t hold that terrible Halle Berry movie against it. The question we really got into yesterday though was who would be your Catwoman? Who do you think has the chops to but on the full body catsuit and be Selina Kyle. And, who could be Selina Kyle, that’s just as important.
Side note: We posted the question on http://www.hotpinkgeek.com/ and have put it to you, the internet public. Let us know.
Also on YouTube I took the opportunity to listen to the first ever Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw conversation. The clip is from the rerelease of her first album. You can hear her smiling through the phone. It’s pretty cool.
The Blue Jays are starting to make me sad, just when I think they’ve got a shot to put a run of wins together they put a string of loses together instead. I love these guys but some days they don’t make it easy.
Sitting here writing is one of the most calming things I can do. Sometimes I just sit here and there’s nothing to write, and that can be a little infuriating, but most of the time it’s just perfect.
I love country music.
I also love rock music. Last night one my favorite bands was the answer, or rather the question on Jeopardy. I squeaked like a little girl when I said Foo Fighters out loud. I love Dave Grohl, I believe that I have expressed that feeling in the past. And I am happy to do it again. The man is amazing.
I foolishly forgot to bring either a granola bar or brownies to work with me today, and now I’m not sure if I should buy lunch or suck it up and just eat dinner later. The only problem is that I’m not always super awesome to be around when I haven’t eaten, and I’m hoping that E-ve will still be around when I get home.
I think that’s all for now, the Blue Jays are losing, I should be working and I’ve started to ramble.
Happy Sunday.
