Saturday Morning Musings, Worky Worky Edition

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

I hope that everyone is enjoying their Saturday thus far.

It’s a rainy day in Pizzaville… However, they say that it’s going to get nice and sunny and warm over the next few days with humidity rising and temps that feel close to 30 degrees Celsius.

Work so far has moved along well so far today and fingers are crossed that things continue the same way.

Good luck to everyone else that has to work today and tonight.

It’s Saturday night and a lot of you go out to eat on the weekend, and when you do, please be nice to your hostess and server and bartenders. Thank you.

The Blue Jays lost a heart breaker last night, and I’m a little worried that I had something to do with it. Yesterday I said it should be a walk in the park against the Washington Nationals as they have the worst record in baseball. But the managed to win their first extra innings game of the season. Son of a gun!

I got to play the Flick Fishing game on the new iPhone 3Gs, fun times. Highly recommended download from the AppStore.

Tomorrow is Father’s Day, there are calls to make, kind words to say and memories to put smiles on faces. Remember the good times.

There’s a great country song right now by an artist named Billy Currington (duet partner to Shania Twain on the country cut of Party For Two) called People Are Crazy. Usually I’m not much for songs that use God as a character as they either make me cry or make me angry. But this one walks a fine line and makes me smile. The hook goes something like this (ok, exactly like this) “God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy”

If you’re a country music fan you’ve probably already heard it. If you’re not especially a fan of the country, but aren’t one of those haters, it’s worth a listen.

I watched an episode of Law & Order: UK the other night. I wasn’t even aware that there was such a thing. It wasn’t bad, but hopefully its’ greatness is ahead of it and not behind it.

Positive wishes of feeling better to E-ve. I hope that coffee and breakfast and maybe a nap help before working.

Romeo reminded me yesterday that his birthday is coming soon. I reminded him that I have been warning people. We laughed. And with that, here are the new warnings. There will be a mess, be careful and as much as you may want to dress nicely for the occasion, I’m not sure I endorse the idea. Also, he will be loud and obnoxious in a mostly lovable way. Hug him and kiss him and do whatever you’d like it is his birthday after all. Don’t buy him any shots with designed to make someone’s mouth burn. It will end badly and everyone will blame you, including the bar staff. Most of all, have fun!

Congrats to Mrs. Jake for earning herself a Black Belt last night. We’re all proud of her accomplishment!

Twitter told us last night that it was Cabral “Cabbie” Richards’ birthday. Here’s hoping that it was a good one.

I think that’s all for now, I’m sure that there are things to do around here.

Bon weekend!

Like wham!
