Good morning y’all.
The first point today is double sided. It’s a thumbs up and a thumbs down to the same person. Chris Bosh has been Tweeting like crazy over the last few days. I just recently added him on my feed and now the guy never shuts up. Apparently he was having a contest with former Raptor Charlie Villanueva to see who could get to 50,000 followers that fastest. Bosh won, so good for him, but he updated his Twitter feed about a billion times in the effort to do so. In fact he updated so many times that when I used the BB to check Twitter he had a full page of updates in all caps with no other updates from anyone else present. Holy cow!
Congratulations to the American League for winning yet another All-Star game last night. It was a good game that ended in a 4-3 score. Neither Roy Halladay nor Aaron Hill had a fantastic showing, but they were both introduced as All-Star starters which was pretty cool. Tampa Bay rightfielder Carl Crawford was named game MVP after taking a home run away from Colorado Rockies outfielder Brad Hawpe.
Awesome news as E-ve and I get to go to a comedy show Thursday night on the house. Yay us. We love laughing.
I was up early and here at work with both coffee and orange juice and now both are gone. I enjoyed them, that goes almost without saying, and now the only question is do I want more.
The Score has been showing all kinds of fantastic defensive plays from the first half of the MLB season this morning and they certainly are fantastic. Some of the best ones are the ones made by the fans in the stands. One dude stuck his bare hand out and made a catch while talking on his cell phone without missing a beat. That is good coordination folks.
Last night was the theatrical release of the new Harry Potter flick of course, and we know at least 3 people that got their tickets and lined up for midnight showings. There were tales of costumes and fanboyishness and all kinds of tomfoolery. By all accounts the movie is good, with some people saying that it’s the best one yet. I know I’m not a teenager anymore, but I am kind of intrigued and hope to see the movie, even if it’s on DVD.
Happy first day back to work to Jake. Here’s hoping that his regulars were happy to see him and everyone was polite and pleasant. We can always hope.
The great apartment hunt of summer 2009 continues with online ads looked at today and phone calls to be made. Visits are planned for Friday and a happy ending is hopeful. Wish me luck.
The sun is shining but there have been reports that rain will come this evening. We’ll have to wait and see of course because one can never really be sure of the weather reports.
Fingers are crossed for a nice, smooth lunch shift for E-ve today at the restaurant. Smile big.
I think that’s all for now.
Like wham!
