Hello everyone!
We’ve got limited time right now so let’s be quick. Happy Monday.
There’s a lot going on in the world so let’s take a look and see what’s up.
Author Frank McCourt has passed away at age 78. I read his book, Angela’s Ashes when I was in high school and enjoyed it. It was heavy, that’s for sure, but he was good at what he did. Maybe it’s time to take a look at some of his other titles.
Lots of controversy in Toronto right now as a rumour has started to swirl about the CNE grounds being used as a temporary dump site while the city workers strike. For the record, Mayor Miller has said that the grounds are not on any list of potential sites, but I guess nobody really knows what will happen. Stay tuned, it will be a messy fight if it happens.
Side note: I personally hope that they don’t use the grounds because I’ll probably be able to smell the garbage from the apartment.
The Blue Jays won yesterday, taking their series from the Red Sox and starting 2 and 1 after the All-Star break. There’s a lot of talk that Roy Halladay’s complete game effort was his last start as a Jay, and if it was he did a great job.
Busy week coming up with a comedy show and a baseball game on the menu. Here’s hoping that everyone has a great time at both events.
Working on a new list for the MySpace blog. Thinking that it will be things we like window shopping for.
Big smiles and thanks to E-ve. No particular reason, just because I can and I want to.
Another reason I love Canada: This morning I saw a French lesbian couple with a baby in Anglo Toronto. It made me smile.
The sun is shining in Toronto and everyone is saying that we’re finally going to see some July weather coming soon. I hope that everyone has their shorts and t-shirts ready.
Itching to go out the Mommy Z’s place to do some fishing and paddle boating. May have to try and get that on the schedule.
New business cards at work with my name and email address on them, it’s kinda cool. I’ve never had that kind of thing before. Here’s hoping that the next time I do it will be as something a lot more established than what they are for now.
Coffee was great this morning, and now food is starting to sound like a really good idea. I’m not sure what I’m hungry for, I don’t think that I have any cravings. I’ll figure it out soon I’m sure. There’s a lot of day left ahead of me.
I think that’s all for now… Entourage has been on the computer all day so far, and it needs to continue.
Have a great day.
Like wham!
