Monday Morning Musings, Home Run Derby Day Edition

Good day everyone.

I hope that everyone is having a reasonable Monday.

Weird email notification from Twitter this morning as it turns out we’re being followed by Red Sox News. One little Tweet about being outraged if Roy Halladay were to be traded to the Red Sox and I’ve been tagged by their nation.

Side note: Here’s the Tweet… @cabralrichards if Doc is traded to the Red Sox what would be appropriate fan reaction? Mass email JP? Forceable removal from his office?

Last night was full of lazy for me after work. Was quite hungry when I left work, so I stopped at the grocery store on the way home. Ended up getting bacon wrapped sausages and potato salad to take home. I also got some pecan butter tarts for desert. The food was lovely. I don’t think that I’d ever had bacon wrapped sausages until last night.

There was also movie time to be had while relaxed in bed. First I put on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. And then after some channel surfing and some Sunday Night Baseball I found Bull Durham. Bull Durham is still a fantastic movie, I know that it’s over 20 years old now and the stars have all done a lot of projects since then, but I still love it. There’s swearing, sex, baseball, comedy, drama, fighting… everything that you’d hope to see in a movie. Or everything I’d hope to see in a movie anyway.

Big hopes today that E-ve has a chance to rest and relax on a day off. Stay in your pj’s and enjoy the day as much as you can.

Yesterday we took some time to write a list of a whole bunch of things that we love that are Canadian and blogged it on the MySpace. I like the list, and there’s lots of room to add more to it. If you have a chance to get over there and check it out, feel free to add more things in the comment field and we can go from there. www.myspace.com/wallyzblogger

Congrats to Aaron Hill of the Blue Jays who will be the starting second baseman for the American League in the All-Star game tomorrow. He will be taking the place of Red Sox MVP Dustin Pedroia as he will be spending his days off with his 7 months pregnant wife. There are reports that she has suffered some complications with the pregnancy so well wishes go out to the Pedroia family.

The All-Star Home Run Derby goes tonight in St. Louis with Albert Pujols coming in as the favourite. It’s hard to pick a winner in this event, it really is, but betting against Pujols is going to be really tough.

I think that’s it for now friends.

Like wham!
