Bonjour mes amis.
Welcome to your Tuesday.
Soft, calming wishes to E-ve in an effort to help the last of her head ache go away. Xoxo
A while ago I wrote about a dude that sat next to me on the bus and told me that some day he was going to fight crime just like Batman. Since then I have seen him twice more. The first time was in the food court at the Eaton Centre walking around talking to people (not me) and then eating some New York Fries. And then this morning I encountered him again on the subway. He was walking up and down the aisle singing to himself. It wasn’t a song that I’ve ever heard before, something about taking all of your clothes off. I was trying to read so I wasn’t listening intently.
Side note: I was actually reading a novel, not a comic book or even a graphic novel. It’s a real, honest to goodness novel called The Collectors by a dude named David Baldacci. I’m barely into it so I can’t really give a synopsis at this point. But it could be good.
Big win for the Blue Jays yesterday in New York as they boys in blue avoided the sweep in the Bronx. Ricky Romero pitched well again getting the win for the 7th time this year. It wasn’t pretty, the bullpen almost gave another one away, Eric Hinske struck out to end the game (remember him?) and we go to Tampa after a win.
It’s a little chilly here in Toronto today, which isn’t a bad thing considering the garbage that is piling up all over the city.
Side note: I’ve been stuffing the ballot box online for Adam Lind in the MLB All-Star Game Final Vote contest. It’s easy to do and free and would be nice to see a third Blue Jay in St. Louis. Go to www.mlb.com and click to vote, then click vote again and vote again and vote again and continue.
First coffee of the day has long since been finished and I am already thinking about another instead of getting lunch just yet. It was hot, smooth and woke me up. I like that because it’s exactly what I’m looking to get from my morning coffee.
I started posting Tweets yesterday about Canadian things I love. If you have Canadian things you love Tweet them, add comments here so I can Tweet them, or just go out and tell your friends.
Here’s hoping that everyone has a great day. And like always, if you’re one of those people who only stop in to read this one day a week, see you next Tuesday.
Like wham!
