Wednesday Morning Musings, My Friday Edition

Good morning everyone!

Happy Wednesday good people of the world. Happy Hump Day to all of you that are in the middle of your work week. And happy Friday to me. Suckers.

This morning starts with a debate, a debate about the top animated films of all time. There was a members rating thing on Yahoo with the top 30 animated flicks counted down. Nobody here in the store totally agrees with the list, and that’s why we’re talking about it. The list is right here for you to argue over as well.

30) Transformers: The Movie 29) The Simpsons Movie
28) Happy Feet 27) Ice Age: The Meltdown
26) Shrek 2 25) Cinderella
24) The Incredibles 23) Cars
22) Shrek 21) Lady and the Tramp
20) Monsters Inc 19) Mulan
18) The Little Mermaid 17) Monsters Vs. Aliens
16) Alladdin 15) Coraline
14) Finding Nemo 13) Princess Mononoke
12) Ratatouille 11) Howl's Moving Castle
10) Beauty and the Beast 9) Toy Story
8) Nightmare Before Christmas 7) My Neighbor Totoro
6) The Lion King 5) Spirited Away
4) Kung Fu Panda 3) Bolt
2) Wall-e 1) UP

There you have it. There’s lots of backlash on the Yahoo comment board after the countdown, and we’re not surprised.

I also have another point that I feel very strongly about. It has to do with Facebook statuses. I can’t handle poor grammar, awful spelling mistakes and such when I check Facebook from my BB. Now, I’m not a great speller so I’m willing to give people a break on that from time to time… but there are awful awful errors sometimes. The one that I’m thinking about right now isn’t even so much about grammar or spelling, but just a stupid error. Here’s what she wrote “Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. good ole sun, please shine down on me” Now, I have no problem with people asking for the sun to come out and play, but I’m pretty sure that it’s supposed to be “Mr. golden sun”

Side note: I’m sorry, I realize that my rant there isn’t super friendly, but I feel it had to be done.

I almost had a heart attack yesterday as I saw the headline on www.espn.com that said the Blue Jays GM was willing to look at trading Roy Halladay. This is the guy that I’ve seen pitch in person more than anyone else over the last 7 years or so, a guy who won a Cy Young award, a guy who could start this year’s All-Star Game and win another Cy Young award. The article said that Philadelphia and Boston would be interested… but I swear to God, if we trade Roy Halladay to Boston… ugly things will happen, that’s all I know.

Side note: I need to eat better dinners than beer nuts and gummy candy.

This mornings coffee is going down smooth my friends, I have a feeling that I’ll be drinking more again later. It’s just going to be one of those days. And then, because I have tomorrow off, I’ll be up super late for no reason at all, and will probably watch some terrible TV shows or movies. I have an urge to start up the PS2, but I’ve been thinking that for a long time now and done nothing about it.

Huge thank you to E-ve for coming to the store to hang out and such yesterday afternoon. Also a big merci for the coffee that got me through the last couple of hours of the shift. Xoxo

Yesterday was Daddy Z and Mrs. Daddy Z’s wedding anniversary. I believe it was their 4th. Congrats to them, he seems like a happy dude most of the time. And really that’s all we were hoping for.

I think that’s it for today. As usual we will try and hit the Twitter front and maybe the MySpace later since I’m not coming to work to sit at the computer all day tomorrow.

Peace out!

Like wham!
