Wednesday Morning Musings, 200th Muse Edition

Good morn folks.

I hope that everyone is happy that we’re half way through the work week. It’s my Friday of course, but technically it’s hump day.

Super excited to watch some Patrick Swayze with E-ve on tomorrow after school. She’s requested Point Break and I think that I may try to add Road House to the equation. It looks like I’m going to be doing some bargain DVD shopping tomorrow.

Positive thoughts out to E-ve’s mum today.

Made eye contact with a dude in the subway station today who I’m pretty sure I went to high school with. I can’t be certain because I haven’t seen him in probably 7 years, but I’ll check it out. We had that little head nod that guys share, but that was it for today.

Fell asleep last night while watching Jeff Broadstreet’s Night of the Living Dead in 3D. It’s a remake/re-imagining of the 1968, George A. Romero classic. It was fun to put on, but I think my terribly old TV took some of the 3D fun out of it. I even tried wearing the 3D glasses that I brought home from UP! but they didn’t help at all.

Congrats again to Adam Lind of my Toronto Blue Jays as he hit his 30th home run of the season at new Yankee Stadium last night.

There was something else that went on last night that got my attention. The benches and bullpens cleared, punches were thrown and ejections followed. The feud has been building for a while between he clubs. It was Josh Towers of the Yankees that hit Randy Ruiz in the face a little while ago. Last night 2 more Blue Jays were hit, and enough became enough. Jesse Carlson threw a pitch behind Yankee catcher Jorge Posada and the benches cleared for the first time… Then a few minutes later Posada scored and gave Carlson a little elbow on the way by. Even the umpires thought it was a cheap shot and one of them said so to a reporter after the game. Carlson had some choice words for Posada after the elbow and Posada was ejected from the game right away. He then came back toward Carlson and the brawl ensued. Rod “The Bod” Barajas got into the action and so did the rest of both teams. It took a while to clean things up and in the end Carlson had a nasty little bump on his head and Yankee manager Joe Girardi had a cut near his eye that may have come from a punch thrown by John MacDonald (but he denies it).

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has a sit down with President Obama today at the White House to discuss current issues. Word has it that the economy, Afghanistan and national security are among the topics that they will go over ahead of the upcoming G20 summit.

Talked to Heath on the phone yesterday for the first time in forever which was awesome. I may have to take a look at the My5 and make a spot for him. We’re going to try to make a dinner date sometime in the near future and hope to catch a few Raptors games this season.

Time to check out for now. There may be something up on www.hotpinkgeek.com or www.myspace.com/wallyzblogger later today. And of course there’s always www.twitter.com/Wallyzblogger.

Have a good one friends.

Like wham!
