Good morning folks.
Sorry about the absence over the last couple of days. I had some awesome E-ve and me time to enjoy.
Yesterday we hit the Metro Toronto Zoo and walked through the pavilions for a few hours. There were some pretty cool exhibits to be seen. E-ve snapped a few pictures and has started emailing them to me so that I can post them on the MySpace page.
Highlights included petting Sting Rays, seeing the Orangutans playing, Peacocks hanging out in the picnic area for lunch and seeing a pretty awesome Tiger just chilling out.
There was also another highlight yesterday as we stopped at the mattress shop on the way home and I put the money down and signed the paper work for a new queen sized mattress and box spring set to be delivered Thursday. Got a heck of a deal on the thing and now I don’t have to sleep on an air mattress every night.
Not getting rid of the air mattress though as there may be a need for it from time to time.
I’ve watched a bunch of TV since the last time I checked in including some new shows. I checked out the first 2 episodes of Melrose Place (2.0), saw the premiere of The Vampire Diaries and last night we got a laugh or two from Courtney Cox in her new series Cougartown. So far I’m not committed to any of them, but I can see myself watching Melrose Place on demand and seeing the entire season.
Had a quick phone call with Mommy Z last night and found out that the home improvement projects are well in swing now. There’s a new couch in the house, new well dug and operating in the yard, new furnace installed and new duct work being installed today. I’m excited to get out there at Thanksgiving to see what’s new.
It was tough to roll out of bed this morning, but it got done and now I’m here at work.
There were sad faces when I woke up Thursday morning and remembered that Kevin Smith had cancelled the signing event downtown. But there was a Twitter update that gave me hope as he said that he may try to add a Q&A to the rescheduled date in November.
High fives to Calgary Flames hopeful Theo Fleury. The dude has gone through some pretty wild personal times, but is trying his best to get back into the NHL and prove that he’s still got the goods. I’m pulling for him.
There’s supposed to be rain coming this afternoon and this evening, so I brought my rain coat. We’ll see if the predictions were right or not as the day moves forward.
