Tuesday Morning Musings, Dead Wii Arm Edition

Good morning ladies and gents. I hope that everyone is alive and well.

Big shout out to E-ve for a fantastic trip out to Mommy Z’s and for some good news to build on a coffee fueled morning.

Kevin Smith is now about 25 minutes away from finishing his 24 hour Tweet-a-thon. I sent in 2 questions to him last night before bed, but did not see responses. I know that the dude got thousands of tweets thrown his way so I’m not taking it personally, but I liked the questions. The first one more than the 2nd one to be honest, @ThatKevinSmith other than your pops who's the man to influence you most? And the second was: @Twitterverse/ @ThatKevinSmith RENT or Sweeney Todd?

I did get a new idea for a piece from all of this though. I’m thinking of filtering through Twitter feeds and coming up with unauthorized and make believe interviews with people, celebrity and non. It will be time consuming and silly, but could be fun and even funny.

BBQ and Wii and walks around the pond and playing pool and hanging out with Mommy Z were all successful during our quick trip out of the city. Here’s hoping that we can do it again soon, maybe even to dog sit and relax for more than 22 hours at a time.

Best wishes for a great shift to E-ve today at the restaurant. A quick reminder to anyone that chooses to go out and eat at a restaurant, the people that are serving you are there to make their living, you chose to visit them for food, please remember that your generous tips keep their mortgage, tuition, phone bills and car payments made. Thank you.

Told a lot of silly stories yesterday while we ate some dinner. Little brother Z and I were talking about 19th birthdays and going out for drinks on (high) school nights. That was a long time ago, good times, silly times, not always great decisions, but fun for the most part.

I’m excited today because we have somehow managed to get our grubby little hands on a copy of Star Trek on the computer. I haven’t seen it yet, so I am kinda pumped.

Side note: I felt very geeky on the GO bus on the way to Mommy Z’s as E-ve and I were rocking the crossword and I had the line on many of the very sci-fi questions that I had no idea I knew.

With payday fast approaching I would like to thank E-ve for helping me to handle my stress, talking me off of ledges, being a great bf, and assuring me that everything would work itself out. Again, sometimes it’s hard to tell her that she’s as amazing as she is, but I hope that if I keep trying it’ll sink in.

It’s a funky kind of week for me schedule wise, I had one day off over the long weekend, work today and tomorrow and then have my regular 2 days off. I’m not complaining, because it works out to be pretty cool. I’m just looking at it as not the usual.

I think it’s time to check out for now. I’ve got lots of ideas and words to get into print today.

Like wham!
