Sunday Morning Musings, Descent To The Dark Side Edition

Good morning good people of the interweb.

I know that Vince has had his difficulties and transgressions, but he’s got me sold on the Slap Chop. I want one!

It’s the first Sunday of the NFL regular season and I am ready for some football. We’ve got some unfinished business with Star Wars Episode III here in the store first, but then I’m ready. I’m not sure how this season is going to play out, there are a lot of guys on new teams and Tom Brady is back and healthy with the Patriots but it should be fun no matter what.

Back to Star Wars for a minute. We have about 50 minutes left in the flick from yesterday and we’ve hit the switch to dark. The republic is in peril and we all know that it’s a long way back to the light. The one thing that struck me as we were watching is that Anakin Skywalker’s turn to the dark side had everything to do with his love for a woman. Now, I’m not trying to blame this on Padmé Amidala of Naboo, I’m just saying.

The sun is out and it feels like a nice fall day. The temperature read was 20 degrees Celsius when I left the apt to come to work, but the breeze in the air says fall 20, not summer 20. It’s almost sweater weather my friends.

Big love to E-ve as she starts her work day later today after I’ve finished mine. Here’s hoping that there are some customers looking to be polite and spend money and tip well.

Only 16 days until the DVD release of Superman/ Batman: Public Enemies. There’s a huge cast in this thing with Captain Marvel, Black Lightning, Catman, Captain Atom, Solomon Grundy, Black Manta, Hawkman, Bane, Brimstone and Brainiac. Not to mention Lex Luthor, Superman and Batman. I’m excited you might say, and I think that I may have to track down the story in print and colour before I watch the flick. Don’t let me down DC.

A well natured group of motorcyclists are rumbling past the store right now. There are lots of honking and waving and lots of bikes. I have no idea what the whole thing is about, but it’s pretty cool nonetheless.

Here’s hoping that you have a fantastic Sunday… maybe there will be some Twitter updates or something worth catching later.

Like wham!
