Wednesday Mornings Musings - Maybe I'll Audition for BNL Edition

Good morning ppl.

It’s Wednesday, Tiger Woods is on the TV talking about being happy to be back on the PGA tour and I’m at work.

Last night was an entertainment wash really. I was entertained by the Toronto Raptors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game, but I would never bet on that this year. Criminal Minds was on and it was pretty ok. Nicholas Brendan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame made his first appearance on the show and is said to be the new love interest of Penelope Garcia. And, just when you thought it couldn’t get any more amazing, he’s a computer nerd. Good times. I guess it also answers the question, what ever happened to him anyway.

In, Canada got made fun of news: Jon Stewart was back from a week of re-runs and talked about President Obama’s trip to Ottawa last week. Hey, at least we’re relevant.

In OMG Canadiana news: Steven Page has left the Barenaked Ladies. Remember, that whole cocaine thing? Apparently that had nothing to do with this. He says good luck, he says he’s gonna do solo stuff and maybe even do some theatre. And he promised the cops in NY State that he’d stay out of trouble. The rest of the band will push on with studio time booked for April and a tour this fall. Hey, it could be worse, he could have been left in Tokyo like JD Fortune. In, just for you news: Michael Cera has signed on for an Arrested Development movie. He’d been the last member of the cast holding out. I’m not saying that I’ll go to the movie, but somebody will, maybe.

Also, and this is big! We are only 1 year away from Spider-man on Broadway. “Spider-man, Turn Off The Dark” will debut with music by Bono and The Edge of U2. No casting was announced, but even still this is pretty cool comic book news.

And in weiner news: Maple Leaf says be careful, but don’t worry. CP24 has all the info and the article. Listeria is again the issue. Maple Leaf is saying that this was human error after the hot dogs had been put in quarantine but were released and shipped accidently. It’s another black eye on Maple Leaf, that’s two, they don’t have any eyes left. This isn’t good for them. When a million companies are trying not to go bankrupt, Maple Leaf is just screwing up a successful business.
