Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I hope that yesterday treated you well.
Lots of things going on in the world these days that interest me, I have no idea if they would interest you, but we can see.
I watched a Survivorman episode last night that I’d never seen before. Mr. Les Stroud was on Baffin Island, above the Arctic Circle in remote northern Canada. He was left with a busted up old snowmobile (kinda like the ones that I used to have when I was a kid) some raw seal meat, some seal blubber and a rifle for protection against Polar Bears. Dude built shelters using the windshield of the machine, slept in a cave of an iceberg, and lugged a bunch of camera equipment around so that I could watch it all on TV months and months later. I also think that it’s time that I admit that I have a slight crush on this guy. It’s a man-crush. Don’t get all excited people, nothing sexual. Just want him to be my dude is all.
Mr. Stroud also led me to my Twitter last night. I was in the middle of posing random questions on my feed and seeing what answers I could get from my friends. Question 3 was: Who would I rather be, Top Chef or Survivorman? The first answer through was the winner before I went to question 4. And that answer was, Survivorman due to his coolness.
Twitter question 3 was also initiated because last night was the season finale of Top Chef season 5. I will not divulge the winner as it is a finale and if you missed it and want to know who won there are better places that you can go to find it. I will tell you that there was Alligator, Crab, and all sorts of good stuff to eat. It made me a little hungry as it always does.
Yesterday was also a landmark day in my calendar year as the Toronto Blue Jays opened their pre-season schedule against the New York Yankees. The fact that we lost doesn’t bother me too much, it’s the little things that matter in spring training not the score board. I wasn’t bothered either that Alex Rodriguez went very deep to left centre field for his first homerun of the spring in the 4th inning. I was a little upset that I couldn’t watch or listen to the game, but again, it’s only February.
Twitter question number 5 was posted this morning asks, what actor would you like to see playing which Super Hero? My answer is Eric Dane as the Green Arrow… see for yourself.
As for other silly, random, not world changing or saving stuff… there’s a ton of it. I will not be going back to perezhilton.com today, there’s no reason to. I don’t enjoy it. It makes me feel a little dirty on the inside. That’s just me though, as there are about a billion people a day that hit that guy’s website.
I’m also happy to tell you that I’ll be off tomorrow, so if I write it will be short, sweet and mobile.
That’s all for today. Be well friends.
